A simple way to organize images for generating montage sequences is to place the images for each capture group into a separate folder (directory) underneath one main directory. When the user selects this main directory, the images in the subdirectories are automatically placed into separate capture groups. Here’s how it works.
Under the Add Images tab, the user clicks on Select Directory
i2k Retina pops up a dialog menu.
Here, the user has clicked the radio button to Capture Groups in sub folders. Clicking on Browse button and navigate to the main directory. The dialog shows the subfolders underneath the selected top-level folder
Clicking Ok takes i2k Retina Pro back to the dialog, with the names of the capture groups shown in the display at the bottom of the menu. The capture groups are named with folder names.
Clicking on Ok again, returns to the main display with the images in the subfolders added. In the screenshot below the all eight added images have been selected
Right clicking on the last image and showing its properties
shows that it has been placed in a capture group named for its subfolder.
From here, clicking on the Process tab and then the Process button leads to the same results as the previous example.
